The acceptance of LUMI by merchants within the community is dependent on the community members willingness and ability to accept it as medium of exchange for goods and services between the community members.
Because the Lumi is issued and distributed electronically it must circulate within a bounded and defined community ecosystem to service their transactional needs for real time execution and settlement. Community members must therefore spread the word, encourage merchants far and near to accept LUMI in exchange for goods and services offered by community members.
Community members with businesses, big or small, are encouraged to start accepting Lumi (AKL). For example Businesses could LUMI hour/days once a week to pull more customers in through their doors – by so doing other shops will start doing the same and this should help introduce heathy competition which which drive up both the quality of services and a wider choice for customers across the community.
